When using the unsigned version your phone will prompt you each time youjat needs to access the network or your phonebook. You need to confirm these questions - otherwise youjat will not work properly.

When using youjat the very first time you need to activate the application via SMS free of charge (standard sms rate apply). This will technically register your phone on the youjat server but no personal information is stored. If you do not activate youjat, your friends will not be able to send you chat invitations and you will loose all data when updating to a newer version!
